What are the most common errors? 1) PINS not properly setup in Practice and Provider areas of Medisoft. 2) Billing Provider address set to a PO Box. 3) Changes in 5010 format causing changes in data entry for certain specialties. |

Remember the NPI days back in 2007? Everyone was scrambling at the last minute to get up to speed. Just like there is only so much road on a highway, traffic jams are inevitable. Start now and be ready for the changes. Call us at 888-322-2455. Oh, and we have the "Scope" on GatewayEDI, the best clearinghouse out there. If you have GatewayEDI or want to enroll with them, call us and we will get you setup on the 5010. 1) Review theSystem Requirements for V17and make sure your hardware is prepared to handle the new program. |

Greetings All! I found an exceptional link that will help explain in detail the changes to come with 5010 and ICD-10. There are even videos and it's all free. It's at the governments website: Good Link What do I recommend clinics do to be prepared for our first deadline? The "short answer" (as my husband always request) is: 1) Be on Version 17 of Medisoft |

We recently received a question in our Medisoft and Medical Billing Google Group about all the defects in Version 16 (V16) of Medisoft. Here was my response:
V16 was a very clean release as is V17. The reason many are having difficulties with V16 and V17 is because in order for Medisoft to prepare for the ANSI 5010 they needed to revamp the PINS fields along with many others such as the Diagnoses, Transaction Entry and Claims Management. V16 started off the changes with changing the PINS and claim forms. |
